MonitoraIT Overview


What is MonitoraIT?

It is a management system that tries to guarantee high enterprise IT availability, particularly for those whose hardwares and softwares need to work continuously and precisely.


Objectives

SNMP Monitoring
MonitoraIT is compatible with the de facto standard network management protocol, SNMP, thus being able to model any business indicator and communicate with any hardware or network device, such as routers, switches, servers, IP phones, call centers and more.

Notifications
Before your business can be harmed, notifications are sent to the appropriate responsibles when given symptoms are perceived. Those symptoms include:

Customers define the value of information and MonitoraIT operates according to needs. The agentless architecture makes MonitoraIT really fast to deploy and easy to manage. Its configuration happens automatically, only requiring you to follow a simple wizard setup or to start Automatic Discovery (i.e., autodetection). The architecture with agents, though, can complement management - bringing additional information, meeting any indicator required by the business. Because of its huge flexibility, MonitoraIT permits the management architecture to benefit from both models at the same time.

Database
Plugins to test the operation and the important aspects of major commercial databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle®, SQLServer, DB2, Sybase, Progress and others are provided.
SOAP Integration
MonitoraIT uses SOAP, granting an access interface to the calls and functions during runtime.

Per-user Access Control
Administrators can configure different permissions for different users. For example, they may authorize given users to configure reports, access availability views, views of events, define which servers, applications or systems the user profile can access, and more, while others not. MonitoraIT user system is compatible with LDAP directory systems, such as Active Directory (Windows®) and OpenLDAP (Linux).

Network Operations Center (NOC)
MonitoraIT's NOC offers an interface to examine the health of applications, operational systems, middlewares, hardwares with maps, operational views and tactical views. For each business process, device or service, there is a dashboard panel with information graphics, alerts and indicators based on the best practices of IT governance and service management.

Service Catalog and Service Delivery
MonitoraIT has a dashboard panel dedicated to business views. In this dashboard it is possible to visualize where your SLA's impact company processes. The presented information allows managers to prioritize actions, analyze the quality of service and, most importantly, monitor the overall health of information technology in their companies.

SLA and OLA Management
MonitoraIT brings many interesting results for companies when it comes to agility of SLA and OLA document disponibilization in internal and external environments. It simplifies alignment between business processes and IT in a clear view by means of the service catalog, as recommended by ITIL.
